Join us at Eden House, a designated Approved Premises (AP) for up to 26 women, supported by a specially trained all-women workforce You'll provide support for women either returning to the community after serving time in prison or who have been given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.


We're looking for a Senior Residential Worker to join our established team Taking on some additional responsibilities to our Residential Workers, you'll work closely with our Key Workers on-site, occasionally covering their duties.

This will include meeting with our residents regularly to determine the support and actions required to maximise their progression.


We need your excellent communication skills and empathetic ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with our residents, colleagues, and external agencies.

Risk assessment and management skills are also vital when supporting our residents back into the community with the skills and confidence they need.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of
£23,940 to £26,600 (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Location:
Bristol, BS16 Fishponds/Blackberry Hill area.

Hours:

Full time - working a shift pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off, rotating 4 x 07:15 to 16:30 hours and 11:30 to 20:45 hours.

9.25 hours per shift including a half an hour paid break daily. This equates to 37 hours per week.

  • Deliver daily structured living skills sessions plus leisure and creative activities
  • Provide support to enable residents to deal with problems and become independent
  • Assist with the induction of new residents to ensure their familiarity with the environment and understanding of rules and policies
  • Maintain an active presence in the Approved Premises at all times during the shift, including undertaking regular inspections of the building
  • Report any significant changes or key information relating to residents and escalate any matters of concern
  • Act as Fire Warden and First Aider on duty
  • Maintain records and files as required
