Are you looking to join a fast-paced company in a role that will add real value both to individuals and the business? If so, DP World London Gateway are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor on a 14 month Fixed Term Contract.

You will manage employee relation matters and support with the full employee lifecycle.

To be successful you will need an excellent knowledge of Employment Law and have experience dealing with Employee Relations to enable you to support the Operational side of the business.

You'll be advising on investigations, performance management, absence management, and managing disciplinary and grievance cases.

You'll be detail-orientated, articulate, confident, resilient, and proactive with exceptional interpersonal skills to succeed in this role.

You'll have the ability to work collaboratively with the wider HR team, Union, Occupational Health and your allocated business areas.

Whilst it can be demanding at times, you'll be able to deal with pressure and challenges with ease.

You'll be forward thinking in terms of HR processes and systems and able to keep up with pace and change whilst ensuring accurate processes are followed accurate records are kept.

How you will contribute:
nFull case management of ER issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, short- and long-term sickness absence and individuals on medical restrictionsnLiaison with all relevant stakeholders within the business including management at all levels, , occupational health, Union and other teams as appropriatenDealing and responding proactively and efficiently to various HR queriesnRecruitment, selection and coordinationnUsing HRIS (Oracle) to access, input, compile, and review datanMonitoring, reviewing, and updating HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation and best practicenCoaching and supporting managers and other members on the HR teamnSupporting local, regional and global HR projects and initiativesnIdentifying and addressing training and development needs of your client base

What you will bring:
nCIPD qualified or have comparable experiencenProfessional but down to earthnSystem-savvynAble to maintain strict confidentiallynProactive and driven for resultsnAble to advise and built relationships at all levels of the organisationnExcited to work in a fast paced and complex environmentnPractical and logical; able to solve problems quickly and efficientlynA strong communicator

You will have:
nProven work experience as an HR advisor or similar role within an operational environmentnExperience working with Unions is advantageousnA solid understanding of working with Occupational HealthnStrong communication and English skillsnAttention to detail and organisednIn depth understanding and experience handling employee relations mattersnPrevious experience in developing strong relationships with a variety of stakeholdersnExperience working in an operational environmentnExperience managing complex ER casesnAn affirmed understanding regarding CIPD best practice and UK employment legislationnExperience working across the full employee lifecyclenA full UK driving licencenEligibility to work in the UK
