Lead HR Strategic Partner

We are in search of a seasoned Lead Human Resources Strategic Partner to become an integral part of our HR division. This role encompasses not only specific partnership responsibilities but also entails providing leadership and mentorship to a team of HR Business Partners and Assistant HR Business Partners, both in a remote and in-person capacity. Together, you will cultivate a cohesive business partnering strategy and promote the exchange of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert guidance and support to stakeholders on a broad spectrum of HR issues, including talent management, employee relations, performance evaluation, and organizational structure.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to pinpoint and tackle HR challenges, proactively suggesting innovative solutions to boost organizational effectiveness and align with corporate strategy.
  • Champion employee engagement and cultural initiatives, ensuring a supportive and inclusive workplace that enhances employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess the success of HR initiatives, identify trends, and provide insights to inform data-driven decisions regarding HR partnership areas and team focus.
  • Assist the HR leadership team in executing HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that foster a high-performance culture while adhering to legal standards and best practices.
  • Support local, regional, and global projects and initiatives alongside the HR Manager and Head of People UK.
  • Maintain strong engagement and relationships with on-site Union Representatives, ensuring regular and meaningful discussions and consultations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, translating them into actionable strategies and initiatives to drive organizational success.
  • Build effective relationships with external vendors, partners, and industry networks to leverage resources and stay ahead of emerging HR trends and practices.
  • Contribute to regional and global projects and initiatives, ensuring the team delivers these locally in a meaningful and impactful manner for the culture and audience.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience (CIPD Level 7 preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience as a strategically oriented HR Business Partner or in a similar capacity within an operational setting.
  • Proven track record in managing and developing HR teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Experience in an engineering or operational context is a plus.
  • Ability to engage across the entire HR lifecycle, maintaining a 'hands-on' approach while also considering the broader picture.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the capacity to build relationships and establish credibility at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Proficient in managing complex employee relations cases to resolution.
  • Strong understanding of CIPD best practices and UK employment law.
  • Willingness to travel to other operational sites as needed.

  • A valid UK driving license or appropriate international license for driving on UK roads is necessary.
  • No unspent criminal convictions.
