You will be responsible for advising on investigations, performance management, absence management, and managing disciplinary and grievance cases. To succeed in this role, you will need an excellent knowledge of Employment Law and experience dealing with Employee Relations.
You will be a detail-oriented, articulate, and confident individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to work collaboratively with the wider HR team, Union, Occupational Health, and your allocated business areas. You will be proactive, resilient, and able to deal with pressure and challenges with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full case management of ER issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, short- and long-term sickness absence, and individuals on medical restrictions.
- Liaison with all relevant stakeholders within the business, including management at all levels, occupational health, Union, and other teams as appropriate.
- Dealing and responding proactively and efficiently to various HR queries.
- Recruitment, selection, and coordination.
- Using HRIS (Oracle) to access, input, compile, and review data.
- Monitoring, reviewing, and updating HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation and best practice.
- Coaching and supporting managers and other members of the HR team.
- Supporting local, regional, and global HR projects and initiatives.
- Identifying and addressing training and development needs of your client base.
Requirements:
- CIPD qualified or have comparable experience.
- Professional but down-to-earth.
- System-savvy.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proactive and driven for results.
- Able to advise and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Excited to work in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- A strong communicator.
