EAP Counsellor (Onsite)

What you will do:


We are actively looking for a skilled EAP Counsellor to join Workplace Options and deliver vital mental health support onsite.

This is a full-time role where you'll provide direct services onsite in accordance with the company's needs, serving as an integral part of the EAP.

Your responsibilities will include conducting psychosocial assessments, managing clinical cases, and devising group trainings or activities aimed at enhancing mental wellbeing in the workplace.


Responsibilities:


Provides an integrated EAP service consisting of intake and assessment, support, triage, referral, clinical case management and crisis management.nDelivers counselling services in a responsive, efficient, ethical, and professional manner.

Maintaining client confidentiality as expected by ethical standards.nAdheres to the applicable ethical, therapeutic, and legal standards, which govern service delivery, as well as policies, procedures, and laws, which apply to the organization as appropriate.nRefers clients to appropriate resources and thoroughly maintains clinical documentation in computerized system for follow-up regarding clinical and work-life services.nAssessments completed with clients expressing various issues e.g., substance abuse, mental health, and family concerns that may be impacting work performance.nPerforms initial assessment/intake, crisis intervention, information and referral, and counselling services to clients.

Completes timely follow-up calls to clients where necessary.nUndertakes additional tasks as identified by the clinical management team.nFacilitates trainings, conduct, and participate in orientation.nDevelops and implements strategic activities for the organization.


Qualifications:


Minimum of a diploma in psychology, counselling, or related field.nAt least two years directly related experience providing counselling or mental health services.nAccredited with one of the main counselling or psychology accrediting bodies.nExperience working with trauma and Critical Incidents.nTraining and presentation skills.nExperience working with employee populations and legal/HR teams preferred.nExperience working with diverse populations globally preferred.
