We are looking for a Test & Commissioning Engineer to join our growing CMS2 team in Portsmouth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team, who are working on sharing innovative solutions or manufacturing bespoke engineering systems.


The RolenThis Test & Commissioning Engineer position sits within our bespoke engineering solutions side of the business, where we develop life-support systems in critical workspace, oxygen and carbon capture-based solutions, water purification, rugged electronics for harsh environments and precision engineering of high-integrity equipment.


The purpose of the Test & Commissioning Engineer will provide the testing and commissioning of CMS2's air purification equipment to the highest of quality and in accordance with the company procedures, customer standards and regulatory requirements.


The main responsibilities of this role are:

nSet-up, configure and test, commission and maintain complex process equipment.nPneumatic and hydraulic Pressure Testing of high- and low-pressure vessels under PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) compliance.nElectrical testing – Low & High Voltage (3 phase) circuits, Insulation Resistance & Earth Bond Testing, working with oscilloscopes to capture analogue and digital signals.nFault finding, diagnosis and problem solving of electro-mechanical systems.nSeek to develop and increase efficiency of test methodology including prototyping.nMaintain issues log for lessons learned and to support continuous improvement.nTravel to various sites across the country to support the UK Nuclear Program (CASD).nOccasional travel abroad to support overseas customers.nAdherence to 5S Practice and compliance to ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

About YounHold an NVQ/HNC or higher qualification in engineering or an apprenticeship in relevant engineering field. (BEng, MEng, HND etc...)
nPrevious test & commissioning experience in a highly regulated industry preferred (eg:
process engineering).nStrong commitment to health and safety, environment, and quality.nAbility to read and interpret documents such as process engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.nGood hands on electrical/ mechanical skills.nMust be able to work efficiently as part of a team and to work under pressure in a challenging environment.nExcellent attention to detail.nFlexibility, enthusiasm, self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative.nWilling to travel occasionally, sometimes with short notice.
