Pre-school Assistant

Romano Education are working with a partner Preschool in Deepdale, Preston to find them a fulltime Preschool Assistant to work alongside their dedicated team.

This is a small preschool with around 10 children.


This position is fulltime to start in September and the hours are Monday - Friday 8.15am - 3.45pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

(and 8.30am start can also be offered) This role is term time only.

  • Pay rate: £13.20 per hour ltd._

Some of the main duties of the role will include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and supervising fun and educational activities
  • Managing a daily schedule that includes activities, toilet breaks, lunch and rest time
  • Observing children and taking notes of any problematic behaviour
  • Feeding and changing babies
  • Communicating with parents and staff members
  • Ensuring the safety of children
  • Helping children learn numeracy and language through daily activities

What you will need;

  • Experience within the last two years working with children, this can be in any setting, school, nurseries, scout leader, sports coach etc and can be paid or voluntary work.
  • Desired but not essential, experience working with vulnerable adults or children with special needs including ADHD, Autism or SEN.
  • Desired but not essential, level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching assistant, supporting children in schools or equivalent childcare qualification
  • Desired but not essential, experience working within a Nursing home or with vulnerable adults as a support worker or care assistant.
  • If this role is not right for you, Romano Education also have a variety of other positions across Primary, Secondary and SEN schools in the Northwest both full and part time._
