About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Oakfield House School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our pupils with autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with their learning through engaging and interactive activities.
  • Manage daily schedules, including activities, breaks, and rest time, to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Provide personal care, including feeding, toileting, and changing, with sensitivity and respect.
  • Ensure the education environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained, adhering to high standards of hygiene.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths, and grade C or above in English or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
