Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a child with moderate learning difficulties in a KS2 class.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one intervention to support the child's academic and personal development
  • Work closely with the SENCo and other SEN Teaching Assistants to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the child's needs
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, as needed

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting students with special needs
  • Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and teaching staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, with a 30-minute lunch break. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the SENCo and other teaching staff to ensure the child receives the best possible support.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is £13.50, paid on a weekly basis. Teaching Personnel offers a range of benefits, including free child protection and prevent duty training, and assistance with DBS checks.
