About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Oakfield House School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and well-being of our students with autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the teaching team in delivering high-quality education to students with autism and complex needs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide emotional and physical support to students, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address any learning gaps or challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive classroom culture.

Requirements

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and grade C or above in English or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with autism and complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
