An excellent Primary School located in East London are keen to appoint two Teaching Assistants with Autism and ADHD experience and preferably Pupil referral unit experience.

It is a long-term post with excellent benefits Are you confident working with challengingbehaviour? The school is looking for someone to work within their Special Needs department, working on a 1:1 basis with a child diagnosed with mild autism and a child with ADHD.

Pupils that require additional support, receive excellent support. Their needsare well understood and effectively met.

Hays are supporting the school to find someone who will be an asset to the school, to keep the same standards.


Requirements:

A Level 2/3 NVQ or NCFE CACHE Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification.

It is essential that they have experience providing specialist support to children with SEN and preferably 1:1 support with children who have moderate to severe behavioural difficulties.


Duties:

Getting the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards to maintain a safe and clean environment
Assisting Teachers to prepare lessons and school equipment
Recording and reporting a pupil's progress to the Teacher
1:1 Autism and ADHD support to help manage student behaviour and learning
Provide a safe learning environment for the children
