SEN Teaching Assistant Role in Tower Hamlets

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Tower Hamlets. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a local community school.

About the Role

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds with SEN. You will work alongside SEN professionals, including Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists, to provide 1:1 support to children in mainstream classes and Specialist classrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with SEN in mainstream classes and Specialist classrooms
  • Work alongside SEN professionals to provide 1:1 support to children
  • Assist teachers in the classroom and provide additional support to children with SEN
Requirements

To be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN or school-based experience
  • Commitment to children's well-being and initiative to carry out daily tasks
  • Passion for working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds with SEN
