Events and Administration Coordinator

As the Events and Administration Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following day-to-day duties as part of Life's Kitchen sales team.


These will be split into two areas:
sales, and operations.

Sales responsibilities include:

  • Production of weekly and monthly event summary sheets
  • The preparation & accuracy of company event sheets for the weekly function sheet pack. This will require communication with all clients, venue teams, and the sales team to coordinate the relevant information
  • Support the sales team, sales manager and company directors through the preparation and administration of event contracts & event sheets
  • Send event updates in a timely fashion to the events teams
  • Respond to enquires under the guidance and as directed
  • Maintain and update the Life's Kitchen and venue databases in a timely and efficient manner
  • Answer the central Life's Kitchen telephone line, demonstrating an excellent telephone manner
  • Book clients into the company marketing events in a timely fashion

Operations responsibilities include:

  • Helping the operations team with small events at Furniture Makers' Hall during your
office hours duties

  • Making and putting out light refreshments and sandwiches out for in house committee lunches
  • Making sure rooms are set up, AV is on and working (if required) for internal and commercial clients as per the event sheets
  • Manning the reception desk at Furniture Makers' Hall during your working hours
  • Briefing casual waiting staff on arrival prior to the operations manager arriving onsite
  • A keen eye for detail
  • An ability to work on own initiative, as well as within a team
  • Exceptional command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft systems (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Experience of working within the events industry
  • Flexibility in working hours during busy seasonal periods, although the role is generally Monday-Friday 09:0017:30
