  • With primary responsibility for the dayto day administration of designated academic programmes, work as a proactive member of the Programme(s) Teams to deliver a highquality administration service to support an excellent student experience.
  • As an integral part of the Programme Team(s) attend Programme Team meetings, as appropriate, to provide advice and challenge to support programme delivery and administration excellence. Work in partnership with Programme Leader(s) meeting to review student profiles and attendance, identify and escalate potential issues, provide advice on University processes and regulations and take action as required.
  • Act as primary point of contact for students and staff, building collaborative, supportive relationships by providing proactive, accurate and timely advice and highquality administrative support to students regarding their programme of study. Have a clear understanding of other student support areas to signpost student enquiries to other support services as appropriate.
  • Proactively work with colleagues within and outside of the Directorate to develop common systems and processes standardised on best practice and ensuring that University regulations are adhered to. Support the development and implementation of the new student information system.
  • Responsible for the creation and timely and accurate maintenance of relevant student records being cognisant of the implications of the Data Protection, Freedom of Information Acts and UK Border Agency rules on the processing of student and staff data.
  • Work with the Programme Team(s) to ensure that module choice and registration data are accurate and maintained in student records.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the assessment process for designated programmes and assisting in the provision of exam papers and completion of alternative exam process requirements.
  • Acting as clerk to the Assessment Board(s) ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for designated Assessment Boards. Responsible for the production of accurate assessment board reports, recording decisions and discussions on individual students. Produce timely, accurate minutes following board meetings and liaise with the Chair and process necessary Chairs' Actions. Follow up to include publication of results and production of transcripts.
  • Proficiently utilise and analyse data from University systems for the preparation of MI, statistical returns and audit materials on programme, annual programme analysis, and student related issues (e.g. progression, retention, attrition, completions).
  • Provide administrative support for Programme related Committee meetings and Boards including preparation of materials, minute taking and any appropriate followup action.
  • Effectively use University systems, including our Virtual Learning Environment to support effective administration of Programmes and an excellent student experience.
  • Proactively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders both within and outside of the University including other University departments and campuses, external examiners, professional and accreditation bodies and alumni.
  • As a member of the Programmes Team support programme related induction activity interfacing with potential students and promoting the role of the Programmes Coordinator
  • Support the work of other Programmes Coordinators, including sharing work during periods of peak workload and staff absence to ensure that full support is available and undertake any tasks required for the efficient administration of programmes across the Directorate.
  • Responsible for cooperating and complying with University and Local Health and Safety regulations, standards and processes.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader as appropriate and take on any other tasks appropriate to the role as directed by the Head of Programmes and Planning and in line with Directorate and School business needs.
