Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, the Cruise Commercial Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Marella and River Cruise strategy though 3rd party agents.


The Cruise Commercial Manager will play a key role in the account management of the commercial relationships between Marella/River Cruise and a portfolio of 3rd Party Agents.

You will support with implementing and driving strategic partnerships with key agents by creating effective sales and marketing plans, designed to maximise performance and drive growth and profitability.


The Retail back-office team is based in Luton, and as part of their office charter the team meets at least twice per month for in person team meetings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Drive the management of the Marella Cruises and TUI River Cruises relationship with a portfolio of 3rd party agents, developing excellent working relationships and providing outstanding account management.
  • Design and implement clearly defined strategic plans for key agents both nationally and regionally, in line with the requirements of both cruise lines.
  • Manage the strategic imperatives derived from the account plan, including marketing, events, specific MI/financial analysis and trading updates.
  • Coordinate, implement and drive forward communication of offers, commercial messaging, incentives, launch documents and any promotional activity to all key 3rd party agents.
  • Awareness of all commercial agreements, sales targets and incentive budgets in place for all 3rd party agents and be able to support these.
  • Responsibility for the upkeep and audit management of all commercial documentation, and produce weekly MI to track sales and performance of each agent.
  • Review all sales activity and report all return on investment to ensure activity in place is targeted, beneficial and in line with strategic plans.
  • Work closely with the Marella Cruises and TUI River Cruises Trading teams to ensure all targets and offers are in line with current commercial priorities and manage the relationships with our overseas cruise agents
  • Work with the Marketing team to design and deliver compelling marketing and communication materials for Marella Cruises and TUI River Cruises to achieve the 3rd party agent targets, in line with agreed budgets.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Support team, and input into the effective management of this team, including all 121s, yearly reviews whilst ensuring internal SLA's are met.
  • Form proactive and effective working partnerships with key internal stakeholders including Cruise product, cruise trading, cruise finance and MI teams.
  • Attendance at 3rd party agent events, manager meetings and training events may also be required. There will also be involvement in the arranging and attending of 3rd party conferences so some travel will be required
