The Role


This is an exciting role for a Marketing & BD Executive, suitable for someone with a marketing or business degree and around 2-3 years' experience.

Anderson Strathern's Marketing & BD team delivers strategic marketing campaigns and targeted BD activities across the business and this role is vital in supporting the delivery of day to day marketing and events.

You'll be responsible for a wide range of marketing, in particular comms and events, as well as using data to support and inform targeted BD activities across the firm.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Planning and organisation of events as well as follow up and reporting alongside the BD Manager. Designing and sending invitations, coordinating guests lists and responses. Ontheday events support whether online or inperson events.
  • Coordinating communications and marketing material inhouse and via external agencies.
  • Writing, designing and supporting business development material and communications.
  • Website content management and assisting in the development of all things digital.
  • Contributing to our marketing and business development strategy.
  • General duties to support the marketing and business development team and its initiatives when required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter and highly organised with a solid grounding in all things marketing

You'll have:

  • Very strong organisational skills and a good attention to detail.
  • Experience of organising successful client facing events.
  • Confidence to challenge and contribute constructively to meetings of people at all levels.
  • Ability to be creative and resourceful in sourcing material and assisting with marketing campaigns and BD strategy.
  • A passion for marketing and the ability to add value to the day to day delivery of marketing and business development.
  • The natural ability to build strong positive relationships.

Skills required

  • Experience of Microsoft Office would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite would be desirable.
  • Experience of working with content management systems, enewsletter platforms and CRM systems would be helpful.
  • Excellent writing skills and a great grasp of English grammar.
  • The ability to be highly organised, creative and proactive.
  • A team player with the ability to understand and respond to other roles within the team.
