We currently have a vacancy for a QA Supervisor on nights.

The role will be responsible:

  • Factory based decisions on technical, product quality and product release issues.
  • Elevating appropriate questions to the Senior QA Manager

Key Accountabilities

Food Safety and Quality

  • Contribute to ongoing site accreditation to BRC
  • Contribute to compliance with M&S, Tesco ,Coop retailer standards
  • Ensure that required standards and procedures are in place, understood and regularly updated to govern all Quality activities within the factory.
  • Maintaining a robust system of documentation for all activities from incoming raw materials through to finished product despatch in order to maintain traceability and show conformance to specification at all stages and corrective action where necessary.
  • Ensure a common approach is adopted across the factory for daily process controls and GMP status.
  • To effectively oversee the management of the taste panel system to ensure product recalls are minimised and standards are maintained to specification.
  • To ensure that hygiene standards are effectively challenged across the factory through environmental monitoring & spot checks.
  • To put in place initiatives to minimise microbiological contamination and react promptly to adverse grades when applicable. To ensure full adherence is applied to food safety CCP's to minimise the risk of pathogenic contamination.
  • Completion of Internal Audits allocated
  • Allergen validation (annual schedule)
  • Annual CCP validation / verification specifically metal detection

People Management

  • Recruit, manage and motivate staff as a first line manager via coaching, undertaking regular onetoone's and formal reviews
  • Set and monitor objectives, goals and targets for individuals
  • Manage people through the agreed company policies and procedures to ensure equity and fairness.
  • Meet with operations regularly to ensure factory and business priorities are communicated.

Operations Management

  • Manage the factory nights QA team so that it provides a cost effective, efficient, accurate and flexible service to the site which is able to constantly adapt to changing manufacturing circumstances.
  • Implement structured and systematic systems and tools to deliver improvement plans covering unacceptable deviations and negative trends in quality performance.
  • Communicate daily with manufacturing teams to ensure quality, GMP and new product and process tasks and standards are achieved.

From £28,000.00 per year
