**Role Overview**:
As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a key role in our team, providing leadership and guidance within the residential home. Your responsibilities will include overseeing direct care, engaging with residents positively, and maintaining effective communication with colleagues and other professionals involved in the care of the young people.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership**: Provide leadership within the team, ensuring a cohesive and supportive environment.
- **Direct Care**: Oversee day-to-day care and support to young people within the residential home, ensuring their well-being and safety.
- **Positive Engagement**: Engage with residents in a positive and supportive manner, encouraging their personal development and emotional well-being.
- **Communication**: Maintain effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other professionals involved in the care of the young people.
- **Record Keeping**: Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and residents' progress, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.

**Requirements**:

- **NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare**: A must-have qualification to ensure a strong foundation in providing quality care.
- **Relevant Experience**: Previous experience in residential childcare or a related field.
- **Compassionate Leadership**: A compassionate and patient approach to leading a team and working with young people.
- **Strong Communication Skills**: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration and coordination.
- **Team Collaboration**: Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
