Care Worker

Post available are:
- 5 x 24-hour posts; 1 x 20 hour post; 1 x 18hour post and 2 x 16-hour posts.
The post holder will be required to undertake day to day task which include, personal care, dressing, undressing, meal preparation, administering medication,, monitoring health and wellbeing, supporting clients to access communal areas, and working alongside Health Care Professionals, South Yorkshire Housing team, families, and colleagues in addition to having the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as contributing to the team. There will be an expectation to answer and respond to unplanned emergencies and report to the DSO. You will always be required to follow the care support plan in addition to any completed risk assessments and demonstrate your ability to maintain health and safety for Clients and colleagues.
You don’t need previous experience as we’ll give you all training and support you need to complete the role.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.

An initial one off lump sum Welcome/Retention payment of £1000 (pro-rata) is attached to this post payable in your first salary. If you voluntarily leave the Council’s employment within 12 months, you are required to repay some or all of the payment (Terms and conditions apply).
