About the role of Head of Subscription Sales


With the opportunity of working from the London office and flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week, our client is seeking a bright, motivated and enthusiastic Head of Subscription Sales to develop client relationships that will promote new sales and retentionto their various digital and event product offerings.


As Head of Subscription Sales you will:

  • Sell subscriptions for award winning digital publications and business intelligence to new and existing clients across EMEA and the USA pitching and selling into Oli and Petroleum Providers, Banks, Law Firms, Consultancies and Service providers
  • Manage and grow an existing renewal base of accounts worth close to $1Million whilst also maintaining a healthy pipeline of new sales prospects via Salesforce
  • Work closely with editorial and marketing teams to ensure the smooth running of the core business and seek out profitable avenues for growth in new areas
  • In addition to your officebased sales responsibilities, you may occasionally be expected to attend external meetings events to see clients for networking purposes


To reward your efforts and achievements for closing business, our client is paying a flat rate of 10% on any new sales you bring in and 5% for renewals - this is paid out on everything and there will be no threshold to hit before commission is paid.


About You

  • Proven track record in subscription sales from within the Business Intelligence or Media / Publishing sectors ideally
  • Experience of working in or selling into the Energy sector is beneficial but not essential
  • Well educated with strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
  • Professional, quick thinker, with a confident commercial mindset
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Experience of running online presentations as well as face to face
