About the team:

We are looking for a Collections Officer, with a background in Asset Finance to be part of our small, close-knit team at InterBay Asset Finance.

You will play a crucial role in effectively managing and taking responsibility for the timely collection of asset finance arrears by maintaining a pro-active collections strategy to support IBAF's goals and objectives.


The team ensure a consistently high quality of customer service to both external and internal customers is provided and operate within the company's Vulnerable Customer policy, focussing on appropriate customer outcomes.

What you will be doing:

In this varied and interesting role, you will ensure the efficient and timely collection of asset finance arrears, by maintaining a pro-active collections strategy.


Joining the team at an exciting period of growth, you will closely monitor the asset finance portfolio taking proactive action when accounts go into arrears, contacting the customer using various contact strategies.

assessing the best course of action that protects OSB while treating the customer fairly.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Proactively managing asset finance portfolio, using the Early Warning Indicators (EWI) available to OSB to minimise arrears.
  • Following agreed contact strategies, including phoning arrears/predelinquent customers within agreed timeframes and obtain comprehensive understanding of customer situation.
  • Assessing each arrears account that you are managing making recommendations and escalation to management where appropriate, to protect the interests of OSB, and also treat the customer fairly (TCF).
  • Managing all arrears/default cases in line with OSB's Asset Finance Arrears Management & Forbearance Policy.
  • Where arrears accounts are rescheduled and approved under delegated authorities, updating the operating system to reflect new payment structure.
  • Ensuring all arrears cases have clear and concise notes on the lease administration system to ensure others can fully understand the status and next actions at any point in
  • Working closely with the Internal Stakeholders and other members of Collections team keeping them appraised on the current status and raising any issues they should be aware of, or become involved with.

In return for your commitment:
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £53,500 and £58,500 and a competitive benefits package including:
