THE ROLE:


The Fleet Services team are looking to recruit two experienced Fleet Technical Coordinators to work across both the Eastcroft and Woolthorpe Depot workshop sites; to ensure an efficient workshop provision is carried out for the City Councils and external customer fleets with responsibilities ranging from allocating workload to mechanics and contract and supplier management.

This role will also require rotating shift patterns.


The post holder will provide the link between Workshop Controllers and Fleet Coordinators and will be responsible for the fleet maintenance and administrative control of the workshop including the end-to-end management of the workshop job cards process and also the day-to-day management of parts and stock to ensure best value is identified and that vehicles off road (VOR) are kept to a minimum.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience of local authority or private sector workshop service provision and coordinating vehicle resources
  • Experience of daytoday management of fleet mechanic and support staff to a supervisory level
  • Experience of parts supply and contractor management
  • Strong negotiating skills, specifically with suppliers and contractors
  • Experience of customer service in a busy environment dealing with internal and external stakeholders including complaints procedures
