We are looking for a Student Engagement Office to work with us on a fixed-term contract until April 2024 to support us in our mission to transform the physics landscape for the UK and Ireland, and ensure a thriving physics ecosystem that contributes to innovation, discovery, research, growth and debate in the UK, Ireland and beyond.

What will I be doing?

  • Delivering our student engagement programme including communications, event organisation and public speaking
  • Supervising a network of volunteers
  • Managing relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders

Projects you work on may include:

  • University autumn induction campaign
  • Provide Physics Careers Advisers with relevant resources
  • Support student members with the transition from graduate to early career

Who will I work with?

  • Colleagues in departments across the IOP
  • External stakeholders including members, volunteers, University Physics Departments, Careers Advisers and international bodies.

  • Experience of working in engaging and outreach including delivering presentations
  • Experience of working with volunteers
  • Experience of stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of administration and the successful management of multiple projects
