MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST
You will be dedicated to providing an excellent, efficient, and empathetic service to our patients.

Duties will include being first point of contact for our patients, dealing with enquiries, both verbally and electronically, arranging appointments, and navigating to relevant services, answering the telephone, liaising with healthcare professionals, relaying accurate messages, and updating the computerised system, whilst ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - DESIRABLE/ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Essential

  • Ability to demonstrate that you can provide a polite, empathetic, efficient, and friendly service to patients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to take and relay accurate messages
  • Sensitivity and discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Accurate and efficient administration ability
  • Accurate and proficient IT skills
  • Able to accept responsibility and possess the ability to use own initiative and be proactive in dealing with all enquiries.
  • Ability to follow instruction and work to agreed objectives and protocols
  • Ability to work as a proactive, enthusiastic member of the team and liaise with colleagues and outside organisations accordingly.
  • Adaptable and be able to work well under pressure, with a calm and flexible approach to undertaking a wide variety of tasks
