Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our team at St Georges Surgery. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm and welcoming service to patients, ensuring the reception area is tidy and well-maintained.
  • Process patient registrations, temporary registrations, and private patient registrations in accordance with practice procedures.
  • Liaise with the Reception Manager/Practice Manager to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks.
  • Utilize the appointment system to schedule appointments with the correct clinician.
  • Signpost patients to the appropriate healthcare professional and provide accurate information.
  • Process face-to-face and phone call requests, and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with the completion of patient surveys and maintain a clean and organized reception area.
