Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team at St Georges Surgery. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm and welcoming service to patients, ensuring the reception area is tidy and well-maintained.
  • Process patient registrations, temporary patients, and private patients, adhering to practice procedures and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Liaise with the Reception Manager/Practice Manager to ensure seamless communication and task completion.
  • Manage the appointment system, ensuring patients are seen by the correct clinician.
  • Utilize the practice email and intranet system to maintain effective communication.
  • Assist with patient surveys, data entry, and other administrative tasks as required.

Person Specification

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good telephone skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to practice procedures.
  • Experience in a GP practice or similar environment (desirable).
  • GCSE A-C in English and Maths (essential).
