Job Summary

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to provide a helpful and friendly service, ensuring the reception area is tidy and welcoming. The successful candidate will be responsible for registering new patients, processing face-to-face and phone requests, and signposting patients to the appropriate healthcare professional.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a high-quality reception service, ensuring patients receive a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Register new patients, temporary patients, and private patients, adhering to practice procedures and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Liaise with the Reception Manager/Practice Manager, following their instructions in a professional manner.
  • Process face-to-face and phone requests, utilizing the appointment system with the correct clinician.
  • Signpost patients to the appropriate healthcare professional, ensuring they receive the necessary care.
  • Accurately input data onto the system, utilizing training provided.
  • Work as a dynamic team member to ensure excellent patient care.
