About Our Client:

Our client is a public sector organisation based in Wakefield, with offices across the country. Hybrid working is available up to 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities of the HR Advisor will be to:

  • Act as a first point of contact in providing proactive, professional HR advice to managers and staff across the organisation, supporting managers in using effective management practices.
  • Provide support to managers carrying out investigations into conduct, grievance and other employee related issues in accordance with organisation policies, the ACAS code of practice the CIPD and other professional standards;
  • Provide proactive and professional guidance to managers and employees regarding all employee relation issues (incorporating all staff, including Medical). This will include conduct and performance management, grievances, sickness and other absence in accordance with the organisation's policies, current legislation, the ACAS code of practice and other professional standards.
  • Support identified managers in providing effective and highquality evidence based investigations of conduct and other employee related issues
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of employee case management and inputting more widely into all employee relations case management across the organisation
  • Input into the development of wider Human Resources policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant:

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge or part qualified or working towards CIPD
  • Have previously worked as a HR Advisor orequivalent role
  • Current employment law knowledge
  • Experience of providing advice on employee relations
  • Experience of participating in and advising on performance management, investigations and hearings
  • Experience of providing HR services in client facing organisation
  • Available to start immediately
  • Available to work from Wakefield office + occasional travel to other offices
