ABOUT THE ROLE


The Head of Back Office will also own the long term delivery of future Operating Core transformation initiatives across the Press working across the globe to develop and deliver a long term change roadmap.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Back Office Portfolio Management and Leadership
  • Strategic planning for transformation initiatives delivering the long term transformation of the Press
  • Management of the portfolio from strategic inputs to outcome realisation including financial management, risk and issue management and conflict resolution
  • Collaboration with Architecture to ensure that the long term strategic roadmap of the press is integrated and delivered by the portfolio delivery roadmap.
  • Facilitation of Business decision making through effective governance
  • Team Leadership
  • Delivery of projects and programmes
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

ABOUT YOU

You will be able to build and articulate a strategic vision which aligns to the strategic goals of the Press and develop the plan to deliver them.

We want someone that will lead with integrity, has a passion for delivery excellence and is good at building relationships across stakeholder groups.


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong background and understanding of project, programme and portfolio management methodologies and delivery models for change initiatives
  • Strong track record of transformation delivery, able to define transformation outcomes, implement delivery structures to realise them and successfully realise business outcomes
  • Strong track record of leading change, leading teams and influencing strategy
  • Understanding of financial processes including forecasting, capitalisation and business case preparation
  • Ability to execute programme planning, dependency management, risk management and strategic planning
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build collaborative relationships whilst holding to account and having challenging conversations
