Job Title: Administrative Assistant to the Head of School

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant to provide exceptional support to the Head of School of Geography and the Environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Head of School's administrative office, providing direct administrative support, and taking ownership of various processes.

This role requires a keen awareness of administrative best practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the University and with external agencies. The successful candidate will be able to work within a cross-functional team, function in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate good judgment and discretion in carrying out their responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a personal assistant to senior executives in a busy and pressurized office, including complex diary management, organizing meetings, and making travel arrangements. They will require excellent communication skills, face-to-face and over the telephone, with a strong orientation towards customer service, high standards of literacy and writing skills, including accuracy and attention to detail.
