Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom University of Oxford Full time
Position Overview

We are looking to appoint a Grants Management Specialist, a pivotal role within our departments, who will be part of the NDM Grant Management Team. This position is crucial for delivering exceptional professional services to oversee the complete lifecycle of a diverse portfolio of research grants within the Department of Paediatrics.

This role presents a remarkable opportunity to collaborate with researchers at the forefront of scientific innovation in two of Oxford's most prestigious medical sciences departments.

You will report directly to the NDM Head of Grant Management (HoGM) or the Deputy Head of Grant Management (DHoGM), while managing a designated portfolio of Paediatrics research initiatives. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the needs of academic staff and professional services, as well as the stipulations of research funding organizations, are adequately addressed.

Working in a specialized environment will support your personal and professional development, allowing you to implement improvements to processes that guarantee the delivery of consistent, high-quality, and professional project support in research grant management.

To be considered for this role, you should possess a degree or equivalent qualification, along with relevant experience, preferably within the higher education or research sectors.

A solid understanding of major funding organizations and current trends impacting the research funding landscape is essential. You should demonstrate strong people management skills, with the ability to mentor, develop, and inspire staff. Furthermore, excellent numerical abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a high level of accuracy are required. Familiarity with Oracle Financials software or similar financial management tools is advantageous.
