The Opportunity:

  • As a HR Advisor you will provide generalist support to our business, getting involved with daytoday HR activities to provide remote and onsite support and advice to line managers and employees.


Key accountabilities
  • Provision of advice and support to key stakeholders on HR policies, procedures and
employment legislation, including; Performance Management, Capability, Discipline and Grievance- Act as a focal point for all stakeholders regarding any issues relating to conditions of

employment, salary, benefits and employee relations.

Proactively case manage live employee relations issues.- Provide advice and assistance for all immigration issues, ensuring compliance with UKBA licence requirements.


  • Act as a focal point for long term absence case management to ensure a timely return to work where appropriate.
  • Support reorganisation, redeployment, redundancy and TUPE transfer projects.
  • Provide support in preparation of Employment Tribunal documentation.
  • Conduct Exit Interviews
  • Provide advice and support on more complex compensation and benefit queries, including collation of insurance claim and renewal data.
  • Undertake offshore and site visits as required.
  • Support and assist with HR projects.

The Person:

  • Experience:
  • Previous experience within an HR environment essential
  • Previous experience of working within a unionised environment ( either on or offshore) desirable
  • Knowledge of Working Rule Agreements desirable

Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent influencing/negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and advise
  • Ability to deal with a highvolume workload and prioritise
  • Extensive knowledge of employment legislation

Qualifications:

  • CIPD Member essential or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of generalist HR experience
