TheRole

With in excessof 700 colleagues and a 24/7 operation, KP Teesside is home to anumber of iconic brands such as McCoys, Pom Bears, Discos, HulaHoop Puft and many other family favourites. As HR Manager you willbe responsible for all site operational activities, providingadvice & guidance on all people related matters and coachingkey client groups such line managers and the Extended LeadershipTeam. Reporting into the HR BP you will also work closely withcentral Payroll and People Services and the wider HR function toprovide an effective HR service.


  • Ensure thedelivery of a proactive, professional & value-added HRPartnering service to create positive employee relations climateand improved employee engagement
  • Supporting thedelivery of Gallup Q12 survey and actionplans.
  • Lead the delivery of the core HRprocesses to a high standard and on time including: Recruitment andSelection, Talent Management & Succession Planning, FlexibleWorking and Performance Management.
  • Complianceto processes and policy and alignment across all HRpractices
  • Working closely with centralisedPayroll and People Services to ensure pay and data integrityand accuracy.
  • Effective case management andadministration  of employee relations issues includingabsence, grievances, conduct andperformance
  • Ensuring we keep our colleaguesinformed and  updated about changes andinitiatives
  • Responsible for a range of HR KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs) in order to facilitate the bettermanagement of the business e.g. absence, headcount, employeeengagement and employee turnover. 
  • Workclosely with Employee Health and wellbeing to support ourcolleagues and manage the Mental Health First Aidergroup
  • Be a role model for KP’s Values andBehaviours to drive culture change 
  • Rolemodel and develop the site I&DStrategy
  • Take a lead role in implementing anddelivering the site’s Organisation Pillar activity (and HR strategyand agenda); managing change focused on the delivery of our newways of working (IWS)


This role will involve regular time spentwith colleagues  and teams within the factoryenvironment
