About the job

As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR generalist activities for the two plants of N+P GROUP in the north east of the UK: Subcoal Production in Stockton-on-Tees and Materials Recycling Facility in Hartlepool. As an HR advisor, your primary focus will be on partnering in Employee Relations (ER) activity. You will take ownership of training and coaching line managers to effectively manage front-line ER activity and navigate complex legal HR matters. Your expertise will be critical in providing legal mitigation and protection to the business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Effective management of ER cases throughout all N+P UK sites
- Proactive absence management with line managers for both short term & long term absence
- Develop and embed best practice HR & ER management throughout the business
- Strong stakeholder engagement, partnership and the ability to influence
- Upskilling & empowering line managers on HR, ER & recruitment fundamentals
- ER reporting & proactive commercial focused case management
- Partner the HR Administrator to ensure all payroll, HR metrics are updated & maintained
- Lead generalist HR activity in recruitment, L&D, succession & talent management
- Evolve and identify opportunities for policy improvement and development
- Act as primary contact and expert for colleague HR questions about generic HR related topics

**Requirements**:
The main job requirements are
- Experience in a similar role in a similar industry
- Integrity and strong stakeholder management
- Can operate with autonomy in a HR generalist approach
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement / instil HR best practice
- Strong computer skills, PC with experience in Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable software
- CIPD qualified (level 5)

What we offer
- Location: North East England (commutable to Hartlepool & Stockton-on-Tees)
- A national role - you will also support site in the South East (Crayford) but 70% of work focus will be in the North East
- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
- Reward: Car Allowance at £6,000 per annum
- Pension: Up to 7% employer & 7% employee contributions
- Life Assurance: 4x salary
