Role Description

The purpose of this leadership role is to drive the effective distribution of Allianz digitally traded business, defining, embedding and executing the Digital Trading distribution strategy to realise our ambition of being the ‘go-to’ digital insurer of choice for our customers and brokers.

The role will be responsible for optimising our approach across distribution channels and for the development of a best-in-class digital proposition.

This role will report directly to the Director of Distribution with a matrix reporting line into the Director, Digital Trading and ALP, managing the Digital Distribution team and working closely with the central Distribution function.

Responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a core member of the Allianz Digital Trading leadership team with accountability for distribution performance
• Leading the design and development of the Digital Trading distribution strategy, working closely with the broader distribution network to achieve profitable growth targets and maximise market penetration
• Line management of a high-performance Digital Distribution team
• Oversight of structured engagement framework that ensures we build mutually beneficial relationships across our partner base, including schemes, delegated arrangements and strategic partners
• Delivering an effective pipeline and cross-sell strategy to ensure delivery of our new business, quote and strike rate objectives
• Collaborating closely with other business functions, such as marketing, proposition development, claims and underwriting, to ensure seamless integration of distribution strategies
• Identifying, evaluating and securing new distribution opportunities, partnerships, and channels
• Analysing market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to drive informed decision-making and enhance Allianz Digital Trading’s competitive position, driving actionable insights from our partners
• Refining a holistic MI suite to support effective broker steering
• Supporting activities that optimise our e-trading platform and broker journey
• Building a comprehensive internal and external network with strong individual relationships.

About You

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance and ideally the digital market place, insurance products, distribution channels, and market dynamics
• A proven track record of successfully working in market-facing insurer roles or in a senior business position where relationship and intermediary management has been a key part of the role.
• Significant senior management experience including dealing with business, broker or client leaders at the most senior levels
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and drive change effectively
• Strong financial awareness.
• Confident in the development and pursuit/implementation of strategies to drive appropriate business initiatives in response to customer needs and business strategy.
