Are you prepared to revolutionize the social media landscape and collaborate with some of the most prominent brands in the UK? We are seeking a Head of Social Media to enhance our strategy, developing and implementing a robust organic social media plan.

This pivotal role requires an experienced professional who is not just familiar with social media but is truly passionate about it. We are looking for someone with extensive experience in social media at a senior level, distinct from a general marketing background.

Given that football is one of our primary focuses, a solid understanding of the sport is essential. You will be leading a vibrant team of four social community managers, ensuring our content consistently engages our audience and keeps them coming back for more.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the budget and create a detailed strategic plan for each brand's social media presence to achieve the defined objectives.
  • Establish and uphold a consistent tone of voice and tactical approach across all relevant social media platforms that embodies each brand's unique identity, collaborating closely with the Heads of Brand Marketing.
  • Work alongside the PR leads of each brand to ensure that social media interactions align with PR initiatives, establishing a daily communication process to support this alignment.
  • Participate in planning sessions for significant events and campaigns, assisting in the development of initiatives that may center around social media or require its support.
  • Generate innovative ideas for social media content that align with each brand's marketing strategy and personality, utilizing internal resources or sourcing third-party creative support as needed.
  • Oversee relationships with external content creators and amplifiers, in conjunction with the PR and Brand marketing teams, in accordance with each brand's strategy.
  • Deliver regular performance reports based on agreed social media metrics for each brand team, measuring against established strategic goals.
  • Act as the social media authority for the UK Brands, keeping informed about all developments in the rapidly changing social media landscape to ensure our strategies reflect the latest trends.

Your Profile

  • Demonstrated professional experience in a social media role with a recognized brand, either on the agency or client side.
  • A keen interest and understanding of football.
  • Experience in managing or supervising a team.
  • Proven excellence in content creation and copywriting, with a strong interest in various sports.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, video editing software, MS Office, Google Analytics, and social media analytics platforms.
