Are you looking for an opportunity where your skills will make a difference in helping to end homelessness and rebuild lives?

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Outreach Coordinator to join the Oxford SPOT team. Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.

In the Coordinator role you will support the Outreach Manager and oversee the day to day delivery and progress of the Oxford Street Outreach team. You will:

Oversee a small caseload of clients while supervising the case management of Outreach Workers and other staff. Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers. Have the opportunity to support the Outreach Manager in collating information for reporting to demonstrate the themes and issues the team face.

Flexibility is essential as you will be expected to work outside of your normal working hours when required, covering shifts that include early mornings, nights and weekends.

About you

This exciting role will suit someone with experience of communicating, liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, we encourage you to apply if you have below skills and abilities:

The ability to manage complex behaviours and motivate staff and clients to achieve outcomes with a creative and person centred approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others whilst managing your own time. Above all we are looking for inspirational, committed individuals who have a genuine desire to support people to rebuild their lives.
