Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recruitment and Outreach Lead to join our Training Team in Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and delivery of our apprenticeship programmes, driving business growth and improving competitiveness through effective recruitment and outreach strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on full arrangements for all interview and assessment centres throughout the calendar year, ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality candidate experiences.
  • Offer employability information, advice, and guidance to apprentice applicants, providing a fair and professional recruitment service.
  • Develop a pipeline of applicants meeting business development targets and KPIs, driving growth and improving competitiveness.
  • Lead on Open Evening and attraction events at the MTC Training centres, showcasing our apprenticeship programmes and promoting our brand.
  • Coordinate all STEM and outreach activities that promote our apprenticeship offering, building strong relationships with schools, education partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Work closely with MTC Training marketing colleagues in the promotion of our apprenticeship programmes, ensuring effective marketing and communication strategies.
  • Manage all recruitment platforms, such as the National Apprenticeship Vacancy Matching Service, ensuring seamless candidate experiences and high-quality recruitment outcomes.
  • Complex and varied caseload management, requiring strong organisational and time-management skills.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who:

Essential:

  • Fully competent in the use of MS applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel.
  • Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision as well as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
  • Offsite STEM visits will be required/client visits and events required, so own transport is essential.

Desirable:

  • Qualification in employability and/or Information, Advice and Guidance.
  • Understanding of the engineering sector.
  • Knowledge of STEM and ED&I and the impact it can have.
  • Previous experience in apprentice recruitment.
  • Previous experience in the STEM sector.
  • Events organisation.
  • Marketing experience.
