About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our dynamic Street Outreach team in Oxford as an Outreach Support Professional. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team that provides a rapid response service to individuals experiencing homelessness across Oxford City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and deliver person-centered support to help individuals experiencing homelessness access key healthcare, benefits, and accommodation services.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies across the city to meet client needs and provide a comprehensive support service.
  • Work on a weekly shift rota, including early shifts, office hours, and occasional weekends and bank holidays, to ensure we are available to support individuals when they need us most.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • A good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless individuals and the difficulties they experience in accessing services.
  • Resilience and patience to work with individuals who may have complex needs and challenging behavior.
