We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Talent Acquisition & Onboarding team. Reporting into our Acquisition Lead, you will oversee our comprehensive background screening and compliance processes, ensuring all regulatory checks are completed, and compliant. You'll develop compliance policies, mitigate risks, and uphold the integrity of our hiring practices.

Additionally, you will lead a team of compliance professionals, ensuring they provide high-value, proactive solutions to all partners while supporting transformation programs and encouraging a one team' culture.

The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding team specialise in strategic relationship management, aligning business strategies with immediate and long-term resourcing and onboarding needs. We are dedicated to employer branding, direct sourcing, talent pooling, and driving programmes that enhance how we engage, attract, assess, and onboard talent. We focus on running efficient operations, meeting business talent demands, and providing candidate experience, colleague and hiring / line manager community experiences.

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee the end-to-end background and compliance screening process, including criminal checks, employment verification, education verification, and reference checks.

  • Implement comprehensive compliance procedures related to background screening and hiring processes.

  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments affecting background screening and hiring compliance.

  • Relationship management which will involve understanding and identifying business strategy and priorities, advising on a broad range of onboarding programs.

  • Lead, coach, motivate and develop a, high performing team, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Create and share best practices within your team, and broadly within DLG to ensure Background Screening & Compliance is highly effective and valued.

  • Develop external network of peers to ensure understanding of market changes and service improvements.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in background screening / compliance within a commercial organisation.

  • Team management experience, able to lead, coach, motivate and develop a forward-thinking team.

  • In-depth knowledge of background screening practices, employment law, and regulations.

  • Inclusive mindset with the desire to seek out and encourage diverse voices and perspectives. Experience in identifying and scoping process improvements to refine procedures to ensure efficient delivery.

  • Experience working with multiple partners with demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders - across multiple locations / disciplines.
