Whatyou'll do

As a UserExperience Researcher, you'll be defining and conductinginvestigations into customer experiences for our current andprospective products. These will be delivered across multipleplatforms, such as desktop, web, mobile and tablet devices and forboth browser-based experiences and nativeapps.

Working with productowners, UX designers, visual designers, and other stakeholders,you'll be using a variety of techniques and tools to elicit theinsight necessary to make informed and HCDdecisions.

Additionally,you'll be:

Helpingto develop high level storyboards and journey mapping thatcommunicate the goals, motives, and means by which groups ofcustomers use, or will use, a givenproductProviding HCD recommendations based onresearch insight or recognised principles in psychology orergonomics, supporting the design ofsolutionsUsing multiple research techniquesand providing the design team with multiple sources to understandand empathise with customer or userneedsParticipating in content and applicationaudits, including gauging the usability of new and existingproducts and making constructive suggestions forchangeActing as a champion of HCD byrecommending the best possible UX research practice, principles andprocesses

Theskills you'll need

You'llneed to have experience of supporting HCD processes and using bothqualitative and quantitative mixed methods research techniques toaddress design challenges for new and existing products orservices. We'll expect you to have the ability to use UX designresearch tools such as User Zoom and Figjam. You'll also becreative in your problem solving and be able to work well as partof an Agile teamenvironment.

We'll also belookingfor:

Experience inindependently planning, running and delivering individual researchstudies and an overall research programme in a complex, commercialenvironmentKnowledge of research techniques,moderated and unmoderated useability testing, depth interviews ,ethnographic observation, survey design and co-creationworkshopsExperience of different researchapproaches across the product lifecycle - inc. Discovery,Generative, Formative and Evaluative research to generate relevantinsightExperience in working inmulti-disciplinary teams with UX, Visual and Service Designers andcollaborating with other disciplines such as Product andTechExcellent communication and collaborationskills across all levels with an ability to champion designthinking and influence keystakeholders
