Across all our venues we plan and deliver a wide range of year-round events, services and activities.

About the role

This is a new and key role responsible for the day-to-day Finance function, including all transactional and reporting activity and to align it to reporting and business requirements and the priorities of the Trust’s wider annual business plan. You will be responsible for managing the Trust’s core finance operations and finance team, reporting to and providing assurance to the Finance Director.

Key responsibilities
Ensure the accurate preparation and timely submission of all financial reporting and management informationSupervise the production of the monthly management accounts, balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations, preparation of VAT returns and the production of the Trust’s annual consolidated and trading company accountsRegular monitoring of cashflow and development of the cashflow modelDevelop appropriate business analytics and informationWork closely with the Finance Director to identify and implement process and business system improvements for efficient finance operationsManage and lead the day-to-day finance operations, and co-ordinate the finance team to deliver work plan prioritiesMaintain appropriate financial control and accounting arrangements for all activity which complies with the Trust’s Financial RegulationsDevelop relationship with the Trust’s key financial partners including our shared service centre.
Your experience and skills:

Essential experience & skills:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to plan, manage and prioritise a varied workload and take responsibility for delivering to deadlinesPrevious experience in a senior financial roleDemonstrable experience of Management Accounting and Financial AccountingProven track record in the production of accurate, timely and useful monthly management information and business analyticsExcellent IT skills with experience of operating computer-based integrated financial management and business systems
Desirable experience & skills:
Experience of successfully implementing/ improving systemsWorking within a charity finance environment
