About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our organization, advancing our overall financial goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and line management, with experience in delivering financial management roles in a charitable organization or Housing Association. You will have excellent attention to detail, be organized, and not afraid to challenge or question the status quo.

As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be expected to support a culture of excellence, demonstrate values-led leadership, and make a meaningful contribution to the development and delivery of our organizational strategy. You will also be responsible for establishing annual budgets to support our strategic objectives and ensuring that our financial standards, policies, and procedures are based on best practice principles.

The ideal candidate will have a real sense of affiliation for our organizational culture and values, such as openness, empathy, and respecting others. You will be working as part of our Senior Leadership Team and will have the ability to develop effective and good working relationships with people at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial leadership and support to the organization, advancing our overall financial goals and objectives.
  • Support the CEO to ensure the financial resilience of the organization is achieved.
  • Develop and maintain financial control systems to ensure that organizational objectives are properly resourced.
  • Ensure that our financial standards, policies, and procedures are based on best practice principles.
