We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Head Office team at Protective Care Group Limited. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Bank Reconciliation: Accurately reconcile bank statements to ensure the integrity of our financial records.
- Team Budget Monitoring: Monitor and manage team budgets to ensure effective financial planning and control.
- Purchase Invoice Entry: Enter purchase invoices into our accounts system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll administration, including processing payments and managing employee data.
- Accounts Inbox Management: Monitor and manage the accounts inbox to ensure prompt response to financial queries.
- Invoice Raising and Credit Control: Raise invoices and manage credit control processes to ensure timely payment from customers.
- Car Fleet Management: Assist with the management of our company car fleet, including maintenance and administration.
- VAT Reconciliation: Support the Finance Manager with reconciling VAT returns to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working as part of a team, but also able to work independently and take ownership of their role and responsibilities. The ability to manage your own workload and prioritize tasks is essential. Ideally, you will be in the process of studying AAT Level 2 (or have already obtained this), although we will support you in gaining this qualification if needed. A keen interest in finance and working with numbers is essential. Experience of working with finance systems such as Xero and Sage is desirable.
