    About Our Client

    We are seeking a Managing Director to lead a well-established international distribution and wholesale business, specialising in veterinary pharmaceuticals. This is an exceptional opportunity to take charge of a growing company, driving strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance.

    Job Description

    As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the company's operations. Your role will involve driving business growth, optimising supply chain efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the veterinary pharmaceutical industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a global strategy to expand market presence and drive growth across 30+ countries.
  • Operational Management: Oversee distribution and wholesale operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and excellence across international supply chains.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring profitability and financial stability in a multi-market environment.
  • Sales and Marketing: Lead sales strategies and marketing initiatives to strengthen client relationships and explore new market opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to international distribution, regulatory compliance, and market fluctuations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent the company at global industry events and build strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

    The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or veterinary industry, with a focus on international distribution and wholesale.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.Skills: Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to manage complex operations across multiple countries.Knowledge: In-depth understanding of wholesale markets, global market dynamics, and regulatory environments in 30+ countries.Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive business growth in a competitive international market.Communication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the globe.
