Contracts Manager Leading to Associate Director - North East
Our client, a renowned specialist in Site Investigation and Geotechnical Consultancy, is experiencing rapid growth and is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Manager to lead and develop all contracting operations in the North East region. With a track record of excellence and innovation, they are committed to delivering top-notch services to their clients.
As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contracting activities in the North East. Projects vary from working with nuclear submarine docks, football stadiums and British Aerospace. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including client liaison, project design, tendering, contract documentation, subcontractor management, site supervision, and more. This position is office based and will involve leading a team of Engineers during site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients, providing expert advice and maintaining strong client relationships.
Design ground investigation projects and manage the tendering process, including frameworks.
Organise and supervise subcontractors, drilling crews, equipment, and machinery.
Ensure compliance with ICC and NEC Contracts, as well as meticulous final bill measurements.
Demonstrate proficiency in Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental report writing.
Thoroughly understand BS5930/Eurocode 7 standards and supervise on-site activities, including drilling, strata analysis, instrumentation, in-situ testing, and more.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, or related fields.
Chartered status or close to achieving.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Ground Investigation industry.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in senior management of Ground Investigation contracts.
Extensive knowledge of laboratory testing schedules and final bill measurements.
Maintain a full UK driver's license.
