The role
As a Utility Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As part of the energy bureau you will monitor the sites utility consumption and identity deviations from expected consumption. This will include leading on cost neutral interventions and the development of relevant business cases.

Day-to-day, you'll interface with roles throughout the Dockyard and will support the sites Energy Manager to deliver on the organisations compliance obligation.

  • Actively monitor utility consumption via energy management software
  • Take manual meter reads to provide accurate billing information
  • Verify billing information * Assist with contractor management for metering and Building Energy Management System
  • Providing Babcock International Group with data in line with streamlined energy and carbon reporting, and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting requirements.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working.

Essential experience of the Utility Analyst

  • Previous relevant operational experience in an energy or utility industry, and ideally have a working knowledge of Dockyard operations, the Royal Navy or similar experience
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is advantageous as it forms a large element of the role
  • Those applying should have a demonstrable passion for net zero and utility management

  • Ambition to achieve Full Membership of Energy Institute and Chartered Energy Manager Status

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
