The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the implementation of Microsoft Power BI within Devon County Council, while also supporting various other BI solutions utilized across the organization.

As part of a collaborative and supportive team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting requirements for BI reports and dashboards from stakeholders at various levels.
  • Delivering the necessary data for BI reports and dashboards in a timely and secure manner.
  • Developing Power BI reports and dashboards following structured training.

This position is ideal for individuals starting their careers in IT, particularly those with a strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn. You will receive comprehensive support in enhancing your technical abilities through training and collaboration with experienced colleagues in the Power Platform.

We are looking for candidates who are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our stakeholders. Ideal applicants will have some experience assisting others with IT, even if not in a professional setting. Familiarity with at least one reporting tool is preferred, though not mandatory. A degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Candidates should be adept at managing competing priorities while adhering to tight deadlines and handling a variety of tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Quick adaptability to learn new technical skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated interest in IT and BI reporting, along with an understanding of the opportunities available in this field.

This role necessitates the ability to communicate effectively in English, fulfilling all spoken responsibilities with confidence and fluency.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of reporting tools is essential, although training will be provided.
  • Awareness of fundamental data security principles is necessary.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience with at least one reporting tool is required, though not necessarily in a live environment.
