Job Description

Job Title: Power Business Intelligence

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Devon County Council. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our business intelligence capabilities, working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and establish data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements for Power BI reports and dashboards from stakeholders at all levels.
  • Establish and collate the data required for BI reports and dashboards, working alongside our data specialists.
  • Develop Power BI reports and dashboards, following formal structured training.
  • Provide excellent BI services to all our customers within Devon County Council.
  • Support the development of valuable technical skills in the form of formal training and working alongside other Power Platform colleagues in the team.

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
  • Good organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrates an interest in IT and BI reporting, including an awareness of the opportunities offered by both.
  • Basic knowledge of reporting tools, although training will be provided.
  • Awareness of the fundamentals of data security.

Working Environment: This is an entry-level role with Devon County Council IT, offering an opportunity for candidates to learn valuable skills using Microsoft Power BI for our Business Intelligence project.
