Job Summary:

Are you a dynamic and strategic leader with a passion for the audio-visual events industry? We are seeking an exceptional Site & General Manager to oversee our daily warehouse and equipment operations. This is a unique opportunity to lead a talented team, ensure flawless execution of events, and drive innovation in our processes. The Site & General Manager will manage a team of passionate professionals, oversee the use and maintenance of AV equipment, develop and implement operational policies, and work closely with the warehouse and Ops team. If you have strong business acumen, excellent organisational skills, and a deep understanding of AV technology, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  2. Manage and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  3. Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of equipment and materials.
  4. Implement and enforce health and safety standards in the warehouse.
  5. Develop and monitor warehouse efficiency and resources.
  6. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of necessary equipment.
  7. Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes and workflows.
  8. Support event logistics, including loading and unloading of equipment, and ensuring everything is prepared for transport to event locations.

Operational Management:

  1. Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all equipment and auxiliary items delivered to site.
  2. Oversee the return and record keeping of items delivered back from site.
  3. Ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  4. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
  5. Monitor industry trends and implement best practices to stay ahead in the market.
  6. Oversee stock control of consumable items.

Team Leadership:

  1. Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of AV technicians, warehouse and support staff.
  2. Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and facilitating professional development.
  3. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
  4. Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure optimal coverage and support for events.

Quality Control:

  1. Ensure all AV equipment and technology are maintained in optimal working condition and updated as necessary.
  2. Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest level of service delivery to the PM teams.
  3. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement, continuously refining processes and services.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the AV events industry.
  2. Strong understanding of audio-visual technology / event production processes.
  3. Proven experience managing AV equipment, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  5. Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
  6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
